King of the yard

The current spate of warm Autumn weather has seen the native trees in the backyard burst into flower yet again and with the colour has come the Rainbow Lorikeets. Although regular visitors, two birds in particular have laid claim to the entire yard and actively chase off any other visitors so as to keep the seed and blossums to themselves.
Today the pair have continually chased of the resident Crested Pigeons and Spotted Turtle-doves, Noisy Friarbirds, Magpie Lark, Red Wattlebird, Musk Lorikeets, Galahs and Noisy Minors. Even when the pair fly off to neighbouring trees they seem to be watching the yard because they fly back screeching like mad as soon as another bird turns up and chases them off.
