Quiet day

Not a birding day, but I took my camera into town while doing my banking. Stopped at the pond next to McDonalds in Raymond Terrace to try my luck. Normal birds in residence, lots of ducks, geese, Swamp and Moorhens, ibis, spoonbills and night herons. The Geese were being very grumpy with each other so they must be feeling frisky.

    Were there any Nankeen Night Herons around in the trees on the island?
    Thats not a bad spot, that pond over from maccas.

    Saw a few up in the trees. Never able to get a clear shot though. Nearly time for them to breed at the Wetland Centre where you can get a better view of them.
