Took a mate out to see the Regent Honeyeaters and Spotted Pardalotes at Kitchener yesterday. Only 3 Regent Honeyeaters still in the area, but lots of Pardalotes in nesting mode. Spent lots of time trying to photograph the busy couples. Nearly impossible to get the in flight, especially coming out of the nest, which they do with much speed and unexpectedly. Both the male and female are continually bringing in nesting material which in this case is strips of bark fibre.
