Walka Water Works

Walka Water Works is near Maitland and is a great place to see lots of birds while the family enjoy a picnic. I went for a visit yesterday and experienced heavy overcast to ruin photography moments and ended up with more encounters with Kangaroos than birds. Thought I had a new bird today but it just turned out to be a female Scarlet Honeyeater, a species I first saw a couple of weeks ago but at the time only the stunning male.
