Edging ever closer to 200 species on my list that was started this time last year. On Thursday I saw Black-tailed Native-hen, Spotless and Baillon's Crake in one pond on Ash Island. I got a terrible ID shot of the Native-hen and went back today but did not see it. Today, Dan and I did some scouting in the lead up to this year's Twitchathon and we found Brush Bronzewing and Bar-shouldered Dove.
Less than four weeks until Twitchathon. It's a first for Dan and myself and we know we aren't contenders, but it'll still be fun to go chasing birds for 24hours.
